Arlington Forest Addition
This 1940s Colonial home underwent a significant transformation with the addition of a spacious rear primary suite and comprehensive interior renovations designed to enhance both functionality and connection to the outdoors.
The new rear addition spans the length of the home and includes a new primary bedroom, walk-in closet, primary bath, mudroom, pantry, and additional storage space. Expansive Pella windows and doors flood the new living spaces with natural light while creating a stronger connection to the surrounding landscape and views. A new side entrance with a Trex deck and modern metal railings provides improved daily access and convenience. The new mudroom features custom storage cabinetry and a distinctive hex-and-flower tile floor, creating an attractive and highly functional transition space for everyday family use.
Inside the existing home, the kitchen and dining room were completely reimagined to create a bright, open-concept living space better suited for modern family life. By removing walls and reconfiguring the layout, the renovation improved flow, sightlines, and functionality throughout the main level. The remodeled kitchen features custom two-tone cabinetry, new stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, a classic subway tile backsplash, and updated finishes that blend timeless style with modern functionality.
The new primary suite provides a private retreat complete with a walk-in closet and a beautifully designed bathroom featuring a custom vanity, quartz surfaces, built-in storage, and a spacious glass-enclosed shower.
Additional improvements included the installation of new luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the existing basement, creating a durable, attractive finished space that complements the newly renovated areas above.
The result is a thoughtfully designed home that feels larger, brighter, and more connected to its surroundings while providing the comfort, storage, and functionality needed for modern living.
