Arlington Heights Addition

Sawert Exterior Modified.jpg

We have recently undertaken an exciting remodeling project in the Arlington Heights neighborhood, focusing on a 1939 Colonial home. The project involved a two-story side addition and various interior renovations.

To start, we demolished the existing playroom, while preserving the basement below. A new two-story addition was constructed along the length of the house, situated above a conditioned crawl space. The addition features a stylish hipped roof, brick veneer, and beautiful Pella windows and doors. On the main level, we created a spacious kitchen, dining area, and family room with a new fireplace and built-in units. The upper level now boasts two additional bedrooms with closets and a shared vestibule.

In addition to the new addition, we embarked on a comprehensive remodeling endeavor. The basement laundry room was transformed into a functional office space, complete with an egress window. The kitchen was relocated to the new addition, allowing us to convert the former kitchen area into a convenient mudroom, laundry room, and powder room. We installed all new two-tone cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, Silestone Statuario countertops, and a stylish white subway tile backsplash in the new kitchen. A new vestibule entry was also created, featuring a coat closet adjacent to a cozy sitting area.
On the upper level, we added a new guest bathroom and remodeled two existing bedrooms.
