Arlington Heights Whole House Remodel

0017-017.jpg

This brick colonial cape-style home in the Arlington Heights neighborhood underwent a complete transformation with new side and rear additions and extensive interior renovations to give our clients their dream home.

The rear addition included a two-story structure over a new basement, encompassing a screen porch, kitchen, dining room, and living room on the first floor and a new primary suite above. The side addition has an entrance off the driveway to a new mudroom powder room with herringbone tile flooring and a new stair tower leading to the second level laundry room. The addition of a beautiful front porch with a fir ceiling, Ipe decking, modern horizontal handrails, and new front entry contributed to the home's enhanced aesthetics and functionality. On the exterior, all new Pella windows were installed along with new roofing, three new dormers, a skylight, and a mixture of Hardie Plank and Hardie board and batten siding.

The main level was redesigned to include an open-concept living room with an expanded kitchen. The new kitchen has white flat panel cabinetry on the perimeter, Bianco Drift quartz countertops, and a white subway tile backsplash. The old dining room was transformed into a functional office. The existing staircase was removed and replaced with a floating staircase with 4” butcher block red oak treads and black metal railings. Upstairs, the existing bathroom was remodeled and a new primary bath was created with a custom eight foot wide floating vanity with dual sinks. New red oak floors were installed in the new spaces to match the existing floor.

Our clients are now overjoyed with the stunning transformation of their home, a testament to dedication and great craftsmanship.
