Atlas Moran Construction is a fast growing design build company serving Arlington, VA. We are looking for an experienced lead carpenter that is able to manage all aspects of a remodeling project, lead a small team, and communicate effectively with the homeowner. The candidate will possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision and management of the project job site , including Atlas Moran employees, trade sub-contractors, and clients as necessary

• Maintain the job site in an organized, safe and secure manner- including updating the project binder, protecting the home, installing dust controls, accepting, inspecting and staging materials, etc

• Project management including material takeoffs, ordering materials, reviewing plans and drawings, and communicating effectively with the production manager, clients, architect as necessary

• General carpentry tasks including site work, demolition, foundations, framing, windows/doors, finish work, kitchen installations, punchout, and cleanup

• Meeting with county inspectors and facilitating county inspections

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years residential carpentry

• Minimum 2 years lead carpenter or project manager residential remodeling

• Detailed knowledge of residential remodeling and general knowledge of trade work (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC) preferred

• Driver’s license with reliable transportation, van or truck preferred

• General carpenters hand and power tools

• Basic computer, email, phone skills
